Graduate Students

Ellis Bradley
Ellis is a first year doctoral student and primary lab member in Dr. Roley-Roberts’ POSTSCRIPT lab. They attended the University of Hawai‘i Mānoa for their undergraduate degree, where they focused on researching Native Hawaiian trauma and resilience under Dr. Anthony Papa and Dr. Jan Hoeltge. After receiving a BA in psychology in 2022, Ellis continued their work in the Hawaiian community by conducting a Master’s thesis examining the relationships between childhood trauma, self-identity, and traditional cultural values in Native Hawaiians with Dr. Sunyoung Kim in the University of Hawai‘i Hilo’s counseling psychology MA program. Under Dr. Roley-Roberts at WVU, Ellis is focused on researching the impact of culture on the trauma-identity relationship in queer and gender-diverse youth in Appalachia. In their free time, Ellis enjoys translating literature from Japanese to English, playing video games, and learning about marine ecosystems.

Erinn Victory
Erinn is a fourth-year doctoral student in Dr. Roley-Roberts POSTSCRIPT lab as a secondary lab member. She graduated from Marshall University in 2020 with a BA in Psychology. Prior to attending WVU, Erinn worked as a research coordinator on a SAMHSA State Opioid Response Grant under the guidance of Dr. Cheryl McNeil and an Administrative Research Assistant on an NIH-funded R01 grant Factors Contributing to Oral Health Disparities in Appalachia with Dr. Dan McNeil. Erinn’s clinical and research interests include parenting, post-traumatic stress, child disruptive behavior, and the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based treatments, especially within underserved populations. In her spare time, Erinn likes to read, watch movies, and spend time with friends.

Jailyn Wilson
Jailyn is a second-year doctoral student and primary lab member in Dr. Roley-Robert’s POSTSCRIPT lab. She graduated from Cornell University in 2024 after double-majoring in Psychology and Biology & Society. During her undergraduate career at Cornell, Jailyn worked as an undergraduate researcher and project leader in the Life History Lab under Dr. Marlen Gonzalez studying how neighborhood context can impact mental health, relationships, and navigation of canonical space in adulthood. Under the supervision of Dr. William Hobbs and Dr. Marlen Gonzalez, Jailyn also conducted an honors thesis looking at the relationship between race rejection sensitivity and sense of belonging along with the impact of social relationships and diversity offered from student organizations on this relationship in African American undergraduate students. Jailyn’s clinical and research interests involve underrepresented and underserved populations, trauma within underserved and marginalized groups, and understanding how social and developmental context can influence mental health. In her free time, Jailyn enjoys hiking, cooking, baking, hanging out with her cat, and making homemade body products.

Marinne Morgan
Marinne is a second-year doctoral student and primary lab member in Dr. Roley-Robert’s POSTSCRIPT lab. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma in 2023 with a B.S. in Psychology, she took a post-bacc position at the OU Brain and Biomarker lab under Dr. Lauren Ethridge, where she conducted a study that used EEG to examine the neural characteristics of misophonia, a type of sensory hypersensitivity. She also accepted a full-time staff research position at the OU Health Science Center’s Health Promotion Research Center where she worked with Drs. Erin Vogel, Julia McQuoid, & Jason Oliver to highlight risk and protective factors for nicotine and tobacco use, especially among LGBTQIA2S+ youth. During her undergraduate years, Marinne worked as the Researcher Assistant Coordinator for Dr. Michael Wenger’s OU Visual Neuroscience lab where she learned about the cognitive and developmental effects of iron deficiency. Marinne’s honors thesis explored the impact of iron status on EEG markers of reward processing during the Iowa Gambling Task and as a predictor of smoking cessation outcomes. Marinne also spent three years as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) working with children on the autism spectrum and has recently been assisting Integrated Brain Health in the web development of a novel psychoeducational tool. Marinne’s clinical and research interests center around early adversity and trauma, particularly through the lens of the deprivation vs threat model. She is interested in investigating the effects of different subtypes of adversity to better tailor prevention and intervention efforts — especially among adolescent girls. In her free time, Marinne enjoys doing yoga, playing piano, and taking her cats on walks around the neighborhood.
Post-Baccalaureate RAs

Asia LoBianco
Asia is a post-bachelor’s research assistant in the POSTSCRIPT Lab. She graduated in 2025 with her bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University where she double-majored in Psychology and Criminology. She is currently a research assistant with Dr. Michelle Roley-Roberts focusing on disparities in mental health and suicide in youth exposed to trauma and a member of the Psi Chi Chapter at WVU. She is pursuing the career path of becoming a child clinical psychologist and work everyday to aid the youth in their struggles with mental health.

Atiyeh Hashemi
Atiyeh is a post-master’s research assistant in the POSTSCRIPT Lab. She earned her M.A. in General Psychology and a B.Sc. in Speech and Language Therapy from Iran. Her research interests focus on child and adolescent development, trauma-informed interventions, and cognitive rehabilitation for neurodevelopmental and emotional disorders. She has clinical experience with youth facing ADHD, ASD, anxiety, and PTSD, and has co-authored a study comparing paradox and reality therapy for traumatized adolescents. Atiyeh plans to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a long-term goal of bridging clinical work and cross-cultural research to improve global youth mental health.

Ayah Aldebyan
Ayah is a post-bachelor’s research assistant in the POSTSCRIPT Lab. She earned her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Nutrition and Food Studies from West Virginia in May 2024. Her research interests center on developing culturally responsive suicide interventions, improving help-seeking behaviors among marginalized communities, and addressing barriers to mental health care such as shame and stigma. She is especially interested in qualitative research methods and community-based approaches. Ayah plans to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology, with a long-term goal of working in academia as a research professor and making mental health services more accessible and affordable.

George Austif
George is a post-bachelor’s research assistant in the POSTSCRIPT Lab. He graduated in 2024 from West Virginia University where he double-majored in Psychology and English with an area of emphasis in Creative Writing. His research interests are depth psychology and suicidal ideation. He is pursuing a career in Clinical Psychology and hopes to one day open a private practice in Central Illinois.

Alexis is a junior undergraduate student at West Virginia University, double majoring in Psychology and Professional Writing & Editing. She hopes to attend graduate school to earn her PhD in Clinical Child Psychology.

Ava is a junior undergraduate student at West Virginia University with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. She plans to attend graduate school to earn a doctoral degree and pursue a career in Clinical Psychology with a focus on children and adolescents.

Colin Bond

Dominik Hale
Dominik is a passionate senior undergraduate, set to graduate in Spring 2026, majoring in psychology with minors in sociology and human services. After exploring graduate school opportunities, he plans to attend a Canadian institution to pursue a career in psychotherapy beyond the U.S. He joined POSTSCRIPT because its goal resonates deeply with his purpose: to help individuals that society overlooks through his counseling. Dominik is excited to use his experience from the POSTSCRIPT lab and within the research cycle to benefit his future clients.

Gabrielle McColly
Gabby is a senior undergraduate student at West Virginia University, double-majoring in Psychology and Criminology with a minor in Forensic & Investigative Science. She plans to attend graduate school to earn a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and then pursue a career path working with youth who have experienced trauma, adverse events, and suicidal ideation.

Jacqueline Melia
Jacqui is a freshman undergraduate student at West Virginia University, double-majoring in Neuroscience and Psychology. She plans to attend graduate school to earn her PhD in Clinical Psychology with hopes of becoming a Pediatric Neuropsychologist.

Kaitlyn Rohrbaugh (Archer-Lewis)
Kaitlyn is in her final year of undergraduate studies at West Virginia University, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Forensic and Investigative Science. She plans to attend graduate school to earn a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. Her goal is to work with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, suicide ideation, or adverse events.

Pluto is a senior undergraduate student at West Virginia University, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Addiction Studies. They plan to attend graduate school to earn a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and then pursue a career path working with adolescents who have experienced trauma, suicidal ideation, and addiction.

Ricky Potter
Ricky is a Freshman undergraduate student at West Virginia University, majoring in Pre-med Biology with a minor in Psychology. He is planning on going to Medical school to become a doctor and serve his rural community.

Savannah Maynard
Savannah is a junior undergraduate student at West Virginia University, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Addiction Studies. She plans to attend graduate school to earn a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology to pursue a career in adolescent and young adult psychopathology.

Seth Meadows
Seth is a Junior undergraduate student at West Virginia University double-majoring in Psychology and Economics with a minor in Business Ethics and Prosperity. He plans to attend graduate school to earn a doctoral degree and wants to pursue a career path in Clinical Psychology with a focus on underserved populations in Appalachia.

Shelby Roesler
Shelby is a senior undergraduate student at West Virginia University majoring in Psychology with minors in Therapeutic Art and Women’s and Gender Studies. She is planning to attend graduate school to earn a doctoral degree in Clinical or Developmental Psychology with a focus on cultural competency in research and identity development.

Teagan Werner
Teagan is in her final year of undergraduate studies at West Virginia University, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Human Services. She plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, focusing on suicide and trauma, and is dedicated to supporting individuals in rural communities with limited access to mental health resources.
